Concurrent enrollment courses are ones your child can take while still in high school that count for both high school and college credit. These courses give your child a head start on their college education. They will have credits that are guaranteed to transfer to 4-year institutions in Colorado, and they will already have experience in the rigor of college courses.
But that鈥檚 not all. Concurrent enrollment courses also:
- Lower the cost of college
- Increase their academic options
- Prepare them for a seamless transfer into college
- Allow access to college coursework
College courses are offered during the school day and are taught by 大象传媒-qualified high school instructors.
Your child will earn dual high school and college credit for the 大象传媒 classes they complete with a C or better. If your child is not earning a C or higher, it is their responsibility to drop or withdraw from the course. If they do not, a failing grade will be assigned. FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) regulations apply regarding all student academic records.

Your child will be able to choose from a variety of courses including both academic and career and technical education. Course locations and times are determined by student demand and the availability of faculty. Encourage your student to talk to their high school counselor for more information.
Concurrent enrollment is a partnership among Arapahoe Community College, Cherry Creek High School, Denver Public Schools, Douglas County School District, Englewood School District, Jeffco School District, Littleton Public Schools, and Sheridan School District.
