What Tests Does ´óÏó´«Ã½ Offer?
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Testing Center offers test proctoring services to both ´óÏó´«Ã½ students and our community members.
College Placement Testing
Take your first step toward college by taking a placement test to determine what courses are right for you.
We offer placement testing in:
Schedule a Placement Testing appointment.
*Concurrent Enrollment students, contact your high school counselor or ´óÏó´«Ã½ Concurrent Enrollment Specialist for options.
Professional Testing
In addition to college placement testing, ´óÏó´«Ã½ offers a wide range of professional testing including:

We also offer space for instructional testing for those needing:

Testing is done by appointment only on all campuses.

COVID-19 Requirements / Guidelines
Students and guests must follow campus COVID-19 requirements while using the testing centers. ´óÏó´«Ã½ is a mask-friendly campus. Please ask about current mask guidelines prior to coming on campus.
- Have a temperature of less than 100.4 °F
- Are NOT experiencing:
- Loss of taste or smell
- Chills
- New or worsening cough
- Unexplained shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Unexplained sore throat
- Muscle or body aches
- Unexplained headache
- Unexplained fatigue
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
Paying for Exams
- Exams may be paid for online and on-campus
- ´óÏó´«Ã½UPLACER exams for ´óÏó´«Ã½ students are $10 for first-time test takers
- ´óÏó´«Ã½UPLACER Remote testing by Examity Live includes a third-party proctor fee of $25 for a total cost of $35
- NCCT Exams are purchased on their site and also incur an additional proctor fee of $30 paid to the Testing Center.
- HSRT Exams have a $40 proctor fee paid to the Testing Center.
- Challenge Exams are paid for prior to taking the exam per instructions provided by the Prior Learning Assessment Coordinator or Department Chair.

Test Payment Options:
- Correspondence Test: Total $30.00 - paid for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ proctor fee
- CLEP: Total of $120 - Test-taker pays $90 to the College Board for the exam and $30.00 to ´óÏó´«Ã½ for the proctor fee
- College Board Next Generation ´óÏó´«Ã½UPLACER Placement Test:
- For registered ´óÏó´«Ã½ students for first-time test-takers - Total of $10.00
- For retests per section - Total $10.00+
- For Non-´óÏó´«Ã½ students - Total $20
- For Examity Live a 3rd party proctor that provides remote proctoring - $35 Total. Examity charges students a proctor fee of $25 which is in addition to the $10 exam purchase fee paid to ´óÏó´«Ã½.
- Biology Placement Test: Total $10.00 ´óÏó´«Ã½ proctor fee
- Language Placement Test: Total $20.00 ´óÏó´«Ã½ proctor fee & exam purchase fee
- DSST (formerly Dantes): Total $130 - $30.00 ´óÏó´«Ã½ proctor fee (this is in addition to the $100 exam purchase made to Get College Credit)
- HSRT Health Sciences Reasoning Test: $40.00 ´óÏó´«Ã½ proctor fee and exam purchase fee
- EMT and EKG Basic for EMS program: $30.00 ´óÏó´«Ã½ proctor fee
Photo IDs
- Photo IDs are mandatory in order to test.
- They must be current (not expired).
- Some exams require a secondary ID. Test candidates are responsible for knowing exam ID requirements.

- Driver's License, Military ID, State ID Card,ÌýPassport

´óÏó´«Ã½ Students may use their ´óÏó´«Ã½ Electronic ID for instructional exams only if they can confirm their identity by answering some additional questions asked by staff prior to taking the exam.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Students may request a College Board Photo ID form to take the ´óÏó´«Ã½UPLACERÌýif they don’t have a College Board-approved photo ID. Request a testingcenter [at] arapahoe [dot] edu (College Board Photo ID).
- Concurrent Enrollment students may use their high school or library photo ID card forÌýcollege placementÌýexams
Secondary IDs
Many exams require a Secondary ID and the type of ID varies from test to test. The type of ID required is subject to change. You are responsible for knowing which IDs are required and bringing the correct IDs for your exam. The Testing Center Staff is required to follow all exam ID requirements and will not be able to make exceptions.
Some exams require the Secondary IDs to have both a signature and photo on the ID. Other exams may only ask for a signature on the Secondary ID. Testing Center Staff may ask for a Secondary Photo ID if the Primary photo ID doesn't look like the candidate or is of poor quality.
All Secondary IDs must be current / unexpired.
Examples of Secondary ID - Please note that your exam has specific ID requirements and this list is a sampling from a variety of exams.
- Current Passport
- Current Tribal Card
- Current US Driver's License or US Learners Permit that is in plastic with photo and signature
- Current Military ID
- Current Employee Card
- Credit Card with Signature
- Current State-Issued ID Card
- Social Security Card with Signature
- In rare instances a Birth Certificate
- Current School ID
Test Taker Misconduct
- Giving or receiving assistance of any kind to or from another test taker during the exam session
- Using any testing aid not permitted by your instructor or exam sponsor
- Attempting to take the exam for another person
- Talking with each other during a test session
- Tampering with the operation of the computer or attempting to use it for any function other than taking the test
- Distracting other test takers in any way

- Hats, Coats, Gloves, Hoodies
- Watches
- Drinks, water bottles, food
- Cell phones, iPads, iPods, Palm PDAs, and other electronic devices
- Eyeglass cases, pencil cases, calculator cases
- Sunglasses, purses, backpacks, wallets, keys
- Headphones or earbuds
- Calculators for some exams
- Others as determined by exam type
Testing Center provides scratch paper, pens, and pencils
