大象传媒 Updates - NOT all COVID19! May 7

Email sent to 大象传媒 employees on May 7, 2020 by 大象传媒 President Diana M. Doyle, PhD

Good Morning, Everyone!

What a beautiful day as we begin to wind down the spring semester. Just a few updates and reminders for you.

HLC Year 4 Assurances Report

Yes, my friends, neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor virus will keep us from the writing process for our HLC Year 4 Assurances Report due in October. Terry Barmann is leading this effort for us and will be reaching out to several of you to assist with the writing of and/or providing data and information for particular sections of the report.听Please stay tuned, and know that your assistance will be greatly appreciated as we work toward this required accreditation obligation.

Virtual Commencement, Nurse Pinning, LEA Graduation

The virtual Commencement ceremony will be available for viewing on Monday, May 18th. Stay tuned for further details. The Nurse Pinning ceremony for this semester has been postponed to be conducted jointly with the fall semester pinning ceremony in December. Our Law Enforcement Academy is still working on their plans for a graduation celebration this semester.

All-Estate Year-End & Employee Recognition Celebration

Yes! We still plan to hold our annual event! Please join your colleagues as we recognize their achievements and celebrate the end of a most unusual academic year. Tomorrow, Friday May 8th at 11:30am through a Zoom virtual event.听Download Zoom today if you don鈥檛 already have it on your computer. I hope to see you all there!

大象传媒 Campus Re-Entry Plans for Summer & Fall

As you are aware, currently most employees are working remotely through May, and courses are online, with some exceptions for designated critical essential employees and some CTE programs. The college leadership and I have been working on re-entry plans for after June 1st and for fall semester based on health and wellness requirements of the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment and other pertinent state and local guidelines. 听We will have more specific information for you within the next couple of weeks for summer, and in June for fall semester. 听

As a reminder, when we begin to transition departments and programs back to campus, it will be with a high level of attention to the health, wellbeing and safety of our employees and students. 听As I mentioned in last week鈥檚 email some physical changes will be made to our campuses, and there will be individual expectations for anyone who will be on campus, in order to maintain appropriate social distancing requirements. 听The following guidelines currently are in effect. 听I anticipate that these guidelines will be in place through the summer, at least.

Requirements for employees and students while on campus:

Before you may come to campus you must:

  • Each day take your temperature before leaving your home.听If your temperature is over 100.4 you may not come to campus.听You should contact your physician or local health department for further instructions. Also, if you are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms, please stay home and do not come to campus.听You may return to campus only after you are symptom-free and with a temperature below 100.4.
  • Bring an appropriate personal mask to wear.

While on campus you must:

  • Wear an appropriate mask when in any public space or when interacting with another person(s).
  • Practice appropriate social distancing (6ft spacing and no more than 10 people in a suitably-sized office, meeting room or classroom).
  • Wash your hands regularly.
  • Report any change in your health to your supervisor (or faculty member for students) and then return home and contact your physician. 听

Regarding fall semester, we are planning (hoping) to be able to have a significant presence on campus with open offices and face-to-face instruction. We will continue to have in place the health, wellbeing and safety protocols and precautions expected of higher education institutions in effect at that time.听We should have more specific information regarding fall operations sometime in June.

Staying in Touch

Moving forward this summer, I ask that all employees please check your 大象传媒 email at least once a week (Supervisors of staff without email access, please follow up accordingly).听I know that some of you are not under contract during the summer or that you will be working/teaching remotely, and so 大象传媒 happenings may not be first on your mind (Whaaat???!!). However, given the continued changing nature of all the factors surrounding the COVID-19 situation, I would hate for you to miss out on the latest information or an opportunity to give us your input as we continue to keep up with the changes.听Thank you!

Well friends, that鈥檚 it for now. Hang in there, take care of yourself, wear a mask in public, faculty get your grades in by May 15th, keep washing those hands, be sure to join the all-college celebration/recognition of our colleagues at 11:30am tomorrow, and to all the Moms out there have a Happy Mother鈥檚 Day!

Peace and be well,
顿颈补苍补听
